State in which the amount of blood pumped by the heart has not decreased enough to adequately cover the needs of body tissues.

Related factors:

– Changes in pre-load, after-load or inotropic state of a heart.

– Disturbance of rate, rhythm or conduction.

Features:

– Changes in hemodynamic structures.

Arrhythmias.

– Fatigue.

Cyanosis, oliguria, anuria, decreased peripheral pulses and moist skin.

– Rales.

– Dyspnea.
